about

What's in the Name?
संवाद culture’s work is all about creating a culture of dialogue and interconnectedness. We are into creating humane and nurturing environments in organisations, institutions and interpersonal spaces of life.
The word Samvād (संवाद) used in many Indian languages encapsulates much more than its somewhat loose translation ‘dialogue’. Sam (सम) literally means equal or alike, while vād (वाद) can mean a dialogue, debate or even discourse. संवाद is thus a shared space of conversation deeply rooted in the philosophy of everyone having space to participate fully. Supporting you create and nourish this culture of dialogue in your life is the work ‘संवाद culture’ does.
Our Offering
We offer workshops, training and facilitations that enable clear communication, compassion, empathy, collaboration and consent driven decision making. This comes from supporting people on expressing themselves with authenticity and care for others as well as learning to receive others with empathy.
We are particularly very passionate to bring about a systemic shift. We work with institutions of public policy and governance, learning institutions like schools, colleges, and higher education, companies that want to adopt a culture of humane spirit and individuals who want to bring dialoguing consciousness to their interpersonal and family lives.
We like to provide a well crafted approach using methods suited to your unique need. While we draw from tried and tested modalities like Nonviolent Communication, Sociocracy, Restorative Justice, we do not apply them in their traditional singular approach but devise a mix of methods suited as per the needs of recipients. Our methods are all rooted in sensitively dealing with human differences and nurturing their collectiveness.
